Far-Right Environments: Multimodal Narratives and the (De)legitimation of Global Action, 1986-2018
Dieses Projekt schlägt eine Längsschnittstudie der multimodalen Umweltkommunikation der extremen Rechten vor, um zu verstehen, wie globale Umweltthemen, beginnend mit der Tschernobyl-Katastrophe (1986), die rechtsextreme Weltgestaltung und -ordnung erleichtert haben. Sie wählt einen narrativen Ansatz für geschriebene Texte und Bilder - von Fotografien bis hin zu Kunst, Cartoons, Infografiken und wissenschaftlichen Zahlen - um zu analysieren, wie sich die rechtsextreme Narrivierung solcher Themen (z. B. Atomkraft, Ozon, Klima) entwickelt hat. Die Aufdeckung der Entwicklung von Narrativen über globale Umweltkrisen ist der Schlüssel zur Rekonstruktion der zugrunde liegenden narrativen Identitäten. Der Mangel an Historizität in der Arbeit über rechtsextreme Umweltkommunikation zu globalen Themen verhindert ein gründliches Verständnis der rechtsextremen Identitätspolitik und der Delegitimierung des "liberalen Drehbuchs" in der heutigen Weltpolitik.
