Blocking Climate Change or Pathways to Climate Governance? Assessing Transscalar and Transsectoral Experimentation with Blockchain Technologies for Climate Finance

Diese Forschung evaluiert, ob Anwendungen von Blockkettentechnologien Wege für eine globale Zusammenarbeit im Bereich der Klimafinanzierung bieten. Sie stellt Techno-Imaginäre, die die Entwicklung dieser neuartigen Technologien beeinflussen, Projekten gegenüber, die sich in sich entwickelnden Partnerschaften zwischen multinationalen Unternehmen, zivilgesellschaftlichen Gruppen, Regierungen und internationalen Organisationen materialisieren. Bei der Beurteilung der Frage, ob die sich entfaltenden blockkettenzentrierten Experimente zwischen aufstrebenden Gruppierungen von staatlichen und nichtstaatlichen Akteuren angemessene Wege und Mechanismen für die Klimagovernance bieten, will dieses Projekt die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen technozentrischer Formen der Klimagovernance beleuchten.
