Informalization: Aesthetic (De-)Legitimation in Authoritarian Populism

Mein Forschungsprojekt untersucht den transnationalen autoritären Populismus mit einem Schwerpunkt auf den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, Brasilien und Polen. Es trägt zum Ziel des Center for Global Cooperation Research bei, Praktiken der Legitimation und Delegitimation in der globalen Zusammenarbeit im Hinblick auf populistische und gegenpopulistische Mobilisierung zu erforschen. Indem ich den Fokus von den etablierten Belangen der Politikwissenschaften auf die der Ästhetik (verstanden im ursprünglichen griechischen Sinne, aisthesis, als Sinneswahrnehmung), der Affekte (verstanden als Gefühle, die durch die Politik mobilisiert werden und diese wiederum mobilisieren) und der Medienkultur (sowohl Massenmedien als auch soziale Medien) verlagere, möchte ich eine Lücke in den Forschungsbereichen Populismus und globale Zusammenarbeit schließen.
