Decolonial critiques of environmental governance orders

Die Vorstellung, dass alle Menschen gleichermaßen zu einer Epoche beispielloser globaler Transformation beigetragen haben, die auch als Anthropozän bezeichnet wird, verschleiert die unterschiedlichen Verantwortlichkeiten und lässt nicht-dominante Formen des Seins an Ort und Stelle verstummen. Eine kritische Untersuchung der globalen Umweltpolitik durch eine dekoloniale Linse ist wichtig, um die Reproduktion von Modernisierungslogiken zu verhindern, die universelle Politik und Effizienz gegenüber Pluralität privilegieren. Meine Forschung am Kolleg ist zweigeteilt. Einerseits geht es darum, zu untersuchen, wie das Earth System Governance Project organisiert ist und welche Wissenssysteme (wenn überhaupt) innerhalb der konstitutiven Diskurse und Praktiken marginalisiert werden. Darüber hinaus untersuche ich, wie die Stärkung der globalen Umwelt-Governance und der Regulierungsinstitutionen eine koloniale Ordnung verstärken kann, die relationale Ansätze und alternative planetarische Zukünfte untergräbt.
