Research Agenda on Global Cooperation

The Centre's methodological plurality and transdisciplinarity is reflected in every facet of its research. First, the Centre’s agenda is grounded in a conceptual basis that focuses on the micro foundations of global cooperation through a rich examination of actors’ dispositions and practices. Second, dynamics of continuous social change and their global political implications are taken into account in studies on negotiations, participation and resistance. Third, the macro-level of global cooperation is considered in an exploration of the normative structures that support or challenge world order and the legitimacy of global cooperation. Finally, the focus will be on future(s) of cooperation, in terms of predictions, scenarios and their narration in fiction and science.
