Centre Included for the First Time in Global Go To Think Tank Index

23.01.2014 The Centre for Global Cooperation Research is included for the first time in the University of Pennsylvania’s annual 'Global Go To Think Tank Index', now in its seventh year of publication. Only two years after its launch, the Centre is ranked thirty-third amongst 80 organizations worldwide in the category ‘Best Institutional Collaboration Involving Two or More Think Tanks’. In the ‘Think Tank To Watch’ category, a worldwide ranking of organizations regarded as having high potential, the Centre is one of four German institutions to figure in a list of 80.

The German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), one of the Centre's participating institutes, is ranked sixteenth in the worldwide category 'Think Tanks with the Most Innovative Policy Ideas/Proposals' and thirteenth in the category 'Top International Development Think Tanks'.

The Index is produced by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania and offers a range of rankings by region, research-area, and special achievements. In 2013, 6,826 think tanks from 182 countries took part in the survey and were assessed by a total of 1,947 independent journalists, academics, and policy-makers. English and German copies of the complete 2013 Global Go To Think Tank Index are available here:
