Käte Hamburger Kolleg / Centre for Global Cooperation Research is situated on the first floor of 'The Wave', Schifferstraße 44, at Duisburg’s Inner Harbour. It can be reached via tram or bus from Duisburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof – Hbf).
By tram:
From Duisburg main station (Hauptbahnhof), take tram no. 901 towards Obermarxloh (departs from underground level U2). After about 5 minutes, exit at the third stop (Landesarchiv NRW: the first stop above ground, located under a motorway bridge immediately after the harbour bridge). Turn around and take Schifferstraße on your left. You will see a tall tower (Landesarchiv NRW) and then a red wavelike building, where the Centre is located. The entrance is at the end of the building on the street side.
By bus:
From Duisburg main station (East Entrance – Osteingang), take bus no. 933 from Stand 2 towards Neuenkamp / Rheindeich. Get off at Landesarchiv NRW (first stop after the bridge). The journey takes about 11 minutes. After exiting the bus, turn around. You will see a large building with a tower (Landesarchiv NRW) beyond the crossing. "The Wave" extends out from the tower. You'll find the entrance on the street site.
By foot:
The Centre is easy to reach on foot from the main station. The entire walk is about 2 km and takes 20-25 minutes through the city centre.
By taxi:
The drive takes about 8 minutes and costs approximately 7 euros.
