The Käte Hamburger Kolleg/Centre for Global Cooperation Research (KHK/GCR21) invites applications for two Bachelor graduates to support the Publications Management team.
Your main tasks
Supporting the scientific editorial team for the Routledge Global Cooperation Series and other publications in coordination tasks, concept development and communication with cooperation partners
Support and collaboration in editing, language-editing and copy/proof-editing of usually English-language texts of the various publication formats of the KHK
Support in the maintenance of the literature management database (with Citavi)
Collaboration in the systematic collection, documentation and provision of the open access publications of the researchers at the Centre
Your profile
You have a Bachelor's degree with good or very good results or an equivalent degree from a university, preferably in the field of social sciences, humanities, cultural studies or communication sciences, and are enrolled in an advanced course of study at a German university.
You are interested in the topics and working methods of the international college.
You express yourself confidently in written and spoken German and also have an excellent command of English (at least level C1).
Relevant experience in editing English or German scientific texts is an advantage;
You are used to working systematically, precisely and independently, have organizational skills and are flexible and team-oriented.
You are familiar with common software applications (WinWord, Excel, PowerPoint) and willing to familiarize yourself with literature management programs, e.g. Citavi, if required.
Date of appointment: as soon as possible, by February 1, 2022 at the latest.
Contract duration: initially until September 30, 2022
Working hours: 12 hours per week
